Hello,

I recently bought HM and went to install it. I did not know my postgres password/username (I used postgresql for pokertracker v3), so I just uninstalled my previous version and downloaded and went to install postgres8.3 via the link on HM.

I opened up the FAQ and followed the directions http://www.holdemmanager.net/PostgreSQL_Install_Help.html

First off, there is a screen that comes up that was not in the FAQ, I think due to an older version being the FAQ:

I didnt change anything there. Next,

http://www.holdemmanager.net/images%5CPostgresInstall2.jpg

On this screen, if I leave the account domain as what it says already (it says my name) and enter the password 'postgrespass', it says 'Invalid username specified:Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password.'

Because I couldnt continue, I just entered a different account domain. It says "Would you like the account to be created for you" and I select yes.

The next window is different from the FAQ as well:

I have tried this both with leaving the 'client' as WIN1252 and changing it to match the encoding server, SQL_ASCII. It doesnt seem to make a difference, or maybe I have not gotten far enough for it too. Anyways, The next screen says enable procedural langauges, and it has PL/pgsql selected. The next says enable contrib modules, and it has a bunch of different boxes. The only one checked is 'Adminpack.' I click next once more, it goes to an install screen, copying all the new files and stuff, then I get:

It then back tracks and quits.

I have no idea what to do. Sorry for the detailed post, I figured it would be best to just write everything. Thanks for any help

Just use another Account name on this screen:
