if you purchased hm2 and nc your lic will work with standalone notecaddy (which supports hm1)

start notecaddy standalone, it will ask you to enter your lic. put in your hm2 lic and thats it.

this is what got me confused

i think what you are saying is you purchased the note caddy standalone. in which case just enter that. if you forgot your lic there will be a space to enter your email and it will send you the lic to your email

trial hm2 lic will not work

I'm not OP. I just hijacked this thread because i have a similar question. I havent purchased the standalone of NoteCaddy i just downloaded it. So in order for it to work with HM1 i have to purchase it first? Isn't there a trial or something to see how it works?

hm1 version is closed to new users. that link is mainly for old users who bought it back then and still use hm1

but anyone purchasing hm2 gets the ability to use hm1 version also concurrently. so under the current setup no trial for hm1.

hm2 will let u make 6-7 new notes which is a gd way to get your feet wet.

I just hijacked this thread

that is a no no :)

Notecaddy is hm2 only. The backwards compatibility was done as a courtesy to hm2 users who haven't fully migrated over yet. Hm2 contains much of NCs functionality for no cost which should give you enough of an idea of how it works

Yeah i asked because right now i find HM1 more stable and less lagier than HM2. So if there was an option to buy notecaddy and use it for HM1 i was going to use it that way instead of using HM2.

To be clear it is backward compatible if you own hm2 NC lic(u can use nc hm1 also)

This is so great, I only found out about it today. It would have saved me a lot of time and nerves if I had known earlier that there is still a working Notecaddy version for use with HM1! I bought full licenses to all products, HM1, HM2 and Notecaddy but I really still can't use HM2 with all its lags and bugs, the only reason I tried to make it work again and again was Notecaddy. Now this problem is solved, I can just use the standalone with HM1. I am such a happy camper now :-)

Indeed you can use it with HM1 and you're not the only one opting to do this for now but hopefully you won't be disappointed to see that not all of NC's features are available for hm1. HM2 is getting better all the time and I know it will win you over sooner than later
