I'm planning on purchasing HM this weekend, and make the move from PT3.
I'm planning on configuring a second hard drive on my new computer, E8400, 2GB ram, Windows XP PRO.
The plan is to create a 4GB partition for a Windows swap file (drive letter S)then partition the rest of the 80GB drive for Postgrese DB (drive letter P).
Which is the best install scheme from a read/write standpoint?
Install Postgrese in a default destination on C:/, and the DB folder on the new hard drive, or the client on C: postgrese and DB on P: ?
Basically, what goes where for this type of install?
Poker Client (FTP, ABS)
HEM
Postgrese.
And is there some setting the the Postgrese Admin to allocate more ram to the DB function? I remember reading a post of that nature, probably a different forum, can't seem to find it.
Thanks in advance.
