Hi,

I've just installed beta 1.09.30 with a clean install (1.08.04+latest beta). My computer is definitely fast enough to handle it (quad core @ 3Ghz and 8GB of RAM). UAC is disabled. However, since the last update, HEM keeps freezing my poker clients. None of this has ever occurred before the update.

Any suggestions?

Thank you.

Microsoft .net framework 3.5 service pack 1 installed?

Windows Uptodate?

Please give us some more details about your system and answer and post these questions: http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=174.
I know the Hud is not your problem but it helps us to understand your computer.

If you have Vista, please verify that UAC is still off. - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmmain.aspx?faqid=73. If it is on, please turn it off and reboot.

Add exceptions to the windows firewall, even if it is off. If you have a 3rd party firewall, uninstall it completely before installing HM/SQL - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=171

*Please make sure your Windows Auto Update is fully updated.

*Make sure you have Microsoft .Net Framework 3.5 SP1 installed.

All Vista updates are installed. Microsoft.net framework 3.5 SP1 too. Exceptions are added in my firewall . UAC is off.

I must say that HEM itself does not crash. Only my poker clients do after 10-15 minutes of play. The clients simply do not respond (Vista's task manager says "does not respond").

1) What version of Holdem Manager are you using eg 1.06.04 Beta 12?

1.09 beta 30. After a clean reinstall, I replaced the default config folder with the config folder that I was using before. I made a backup of the the original config folder. Do you think this can cause the problem?

2) What Poker Site are you playing on and which gametype and does the problem occur on more than 1 site?

NLHE cash games on Full Tilt and Ipoker. They both become simultaneously unresponsive after 10-15 minutes of play.

2a) Have you clicked the Start Auto Import Button?

yes

3) Have you the settings exactly as per the FAQ for your site?

yes. My hud works properly for 10-15 minutes before my poker clients crash.

4) Can you see the Hand History files showing up in the correct Folder on your PC, this folder should be indentical to the path location you set in Options > Configure Auto Import Folder in HM? If so please copy and paste the location as shown in the FAQ?

yes

5) Are the hands being imported into Holdem Manager?

yes

5a) Do they import if you create a new database?

yes

6) Have You Tried the Table Finder and did it work?

The details of my table are displayed and updated in real time in the table manager as I play but when I click on table finder, I get the following error: "I cannot find any unattached hands. Please wait until the Manager has imported some."

7) If you open the HH are they written in English?

yes

8) If your using Vista have you UAC disabled?

yes

9) Have you attached the holdemmanager.config file?

the "manage attachment" window says "invalid file" when I try to upload my config.hem file.

The file should be holdemmanager.config and not config.hem.

But anyway, it may be sth. invalid in your configuration. So please try with a fresh installation without restoring your configuration.

Delete your (old) \config folder and replace it with:

I did replace it with the original config folder. Didn't work.
I did a fresh reinstall twice with beta 30. Didn't work either.
I did a fresh reinstall with beta 29. It worked.

So unless there's some weird coincidence, there's definitely something wrong with beta 30. Besides, two other users have reported freezing problem with this beta in the 1.09 beta thread. Anyway, it works fine now so thanks for your help!

Having exactly the same problems on Full Tilt with Beta 30.

What other software do you use? Table NinjaFT or similar HotKey programs?

Please update to the latest beta - http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/HmBetaUpdate.exe

Under Vista and Windows 7 make sure UAC is disabled http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmmain.aspx?faqid=73 and/or holdemmanager.exe and hmhud.exe are started as administrator. Run the windows explorer and navigate to your Holdemmanager installation directory. Right click the holdemmanager.exe and the hmhud.exe executable and select "Run as admin" from the popup menu.

Add exceptions to the windows firewall, even if it is off. If you have a 3rd party firewall, do the equivalent or uninstall it temporarily - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=171

Make sure your video card drivers and windows auto updates are fully updated. Make sure you have Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 installed.

Please reproduce the problem and post a screen shot - http://graphicssoft.about.com/cs/general/ht/winscreenshot.htm

with the following:

1) The table manager
2) The tables (including one with no stats)
3) The Task Manager > Processes sorted by CPU use and another pic sorted by Memory use.
