View Full Version : "Unhandled exception has occurred"

I've been running HEM for about a week. Everything was fine, then one day my computer crashed for some random reason that I don't remember (not while HEM was running). After I rebooted, HEM would not work and I get this message. I've tried reinstalling both HEM and Postgres, but it's still happening.

To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

Please check that your Microsoft .net framework is uptodate (3.5 service pack 1).

Under Vista make sure UAC is disabled http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=73
and/or holdemmanager.exe and hmhud.exe are started as administrator. Run the windows explorer and navigate to your Holdemmanager installation directory.
Right click the holdemmanager.exe and the hmhud.exe executable and select "Run as admin" from the popup menu.


Uninstall HM,
Reboot your computer, clear browser cache or use different browser and download and install HM full version 1.08.04.

Then download and install 1.09 Beta 30.

If this doesn't help it may be necessary to uninstall HM with the Revo uninstaller (use Google).

I tried everything you suggested, including the Revo uninstall. I even did a thorough Revo uninstall of Postgres and reinstalled that. Nothing is working. I'm on Windows XP, so I ignored the Vista part, but I tried everything else.

I just had a similar situation with a remote support customer and was unable to fix it.
