I am thinking it may be a problem with the postgresql installation itself, so it is present in each DB you make. To test this a little further:

Please www.7zip.org the hands and email them to me at fozzy@holdemmanager.net, with a link to this thread.

If they import for me fine, I can give you instructions to do a clean reinstall of postgresql and make sure you get all your hands backed up so you can import them.

It looks like you need to reinstall SQL.

You want to make sure you backup your Processed/Archived hand histories.

I would also make sure you manually export the database to hand history text files:

HM > Options > Database Management > Connect > Export Hands

How do I export or import hands into and from Holdem Manager? - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=173

Vista: Turn off UAC - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=73

Turn off Windows Firewall for installing HM and PostgreSQL. Once you get those installed you can add exceptions to the firewall. If you have a 3rd party firewall, uninstall it completely before installing HM/SQL - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=171

For uninstalling SQL please follow these steps:

1) Uninstall PostgreSQL from the Windows Control Panel.
2) manually delete the Program Files\Postgresql folders
3) run the command - start > run > cmd >

net user postgres /delete
4) reboot.
5) install PostgreSQL again, with your firewall uninstalled or turned off if windows firewall, using these directions and postgresql.zip version. - [url]http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=176

For step 5, you could also try and install postgresql 8.4. I haven't wrote a new FAQ yet, but the new version is super simple to install.
