Hi, this is probably a simple probleme but I cannot fix it. I just download HM and install Postgre. So when I open HM the ask me to connect to postgre. I click connect and its write A connextion to PostgreSQL could not be made. Would ou like to have HM attempt to start the servive. I click YES ans then : Sorry, holdem manager was unable to start the service. And then : HM has started the service. Please try again.

And nothing works....

I have try to uninstall and reinstall. Same thing...

Please update to the latest beta - http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/HmBetaUpdate.exe.

If you have Vista, please verify that UAC is still off. - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmmain.aspx?faqid=73. If it is on, please turn it off and reboot.

Add exceptions to the windows firewall, even if it is off. If you have a 3rd party firewall, uninstall it completely before installing HM/SQL - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=171

Ok yeah thank, that was because it wasnt run as administrator. But now, I have another probleme.

So, I have used the trial version. So, I have bought the software. I have enter the code and now since that, I cannot open HM anymore.

Its writen : CXonnextion Error, : unable to read data from the transport connextion L an established connextion was aborted by the software in your host machine

System.IO.IOexception unable to read data from the transport connection.

Is this any link bewteen I just move from Bresil to Canada ?!

I've tried few thinks and then after uninstalled HM and Postgre and then re-installed.

Same think....

This is usually a firewall, UAC, or windows update issue.


First try a simple reboot.

If no help, try this:

Start > Programs > PostgreSQL > 8.x > Stop Service

Start > Programs > PostgreSQL > 8.x > Start Service

If you have Vista, please verify that UAC is still off. - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmmain.aspx?faqid=73. If it is on, please turn it off and reboot.

I'm sorry for all those questions. I dont know was is wrong with my HM. Now they say, when I open the software :

The following error occurred the n trying to open the database : Unable to read data from transport connextion: an Existing connextion was forcubly by the remote host.


And, everytime I try to create a new database that doesnt work. Or, when I try to upload my HH from Pokerstars...

It sounds like you are closer than you were before. That connection error is possibly caused by a recent windows auto update. I am going to give you some instructions to try, but I also want to setup a remote support session with you.
