I have had a lot of problems with Holdem Manager lately so I eventually uninstalled it (and deleted the RVG directory) and downloaded the original install and the 1.09 Beta 29 update as per instructions in several threads on this forum. Now, when I attempt to run the program (as administrator) I receive the following error message:
Xenocode Virtual Appliance Runtime
==========================
There has been an error starting this virtual appliance. Error code 0x00Z2.
///
I am running Vista Home Premium 64-bit and UAC is turned off.
Thanks for any assistance...

Please search for Xenocode in the forum and you will find some helpful threads.
Please come back if you can't figure it out.

Hi,
I have scoured a lot of the threads and the most appropiate suggestion seemed to be to re-install the .NET framework which I have now done. I then went for another clean install of HEM. Of note is that the original install will load, but when I patch it with the Beta 1.09.29 the Xenocode error returns.
Thanks

Sometimes a complete removal of HM with Revo uninstaller helps to solve it.

Okay, I uninstalled with the most complete option available on Revo.
Deleted RVG directory, rebooted, and installed HEM. Upon application of the Beta patch I now get a generic Windows "Holdem Manager has stopped working" message when I attempt to launch it.

Possibly the downloaded beta update is corrupt?
Clean your browser cache or use a different browser, download and install the update again
