Is it just me or is it normal that when creating a definition, every time I click a new tab it takes 30 seconds - 1 minute just to change the tab! (I have a very fast gaming computer) Obviously this makes editing definitions a very painful process. Is there anything I can do to speed this up?

I have asked sreti to take a look. problem is this has been reported only by a very small % and that actually includes my laptop too.

The reason its difficult to pin point is when we change tabs its only a gui function so the problem is there isnt anything much we can log. I admit this has been a puzzling issue for quite some time now and we have laready invested substantial man hours into this.

Rest assured of our mutual best efforts on this. however this one isnt a str8 fwd send us logs and we will fix it kind of issue.

Please be as specific as possible about your computer (processor, memory, disk, OS). Did you ever use the standalone version? If so, did it also happen there?

Thanks for quick response. I'm surprised this is only happening for a small %, as I have the same problem on both my laptop and my desktop. The only reason I installed HM2 on the desktop was in the hope NC would be faster, but it is just as slow on this very powerful computer. I did use the standalone version before HM2 on my laptop and it also lagged.

Specs are as follows:
laptop:
Toshiba Satellite A300
Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit
Intel core2 duo cpu p8400 @2.26ghz
3 GB RAM
toshiba MK3252GSX ATA device (hard disk)
Ati mobilty Radeon HD 3650 graphics

Desktop:
Windows 7 Home premium 64bit
AMD Phenom II X4 955 processor 3.2Ghz
4GB RAM
ST31000528AS ATA hard disk
ati radeon HD 5850 graphics

Just a quick further note. Very occasionally clicking between tabs does work perfectly without doing anything beforehand. ie it just randomly starts working well and then just as randomly reverts to being slow. Right now is just started working perfectly on 1 definition, I open a second def and this one is now very slow. When I click back to the 1st def, that one is still working well. weird.

Any tab that is once launched will be fast when you switch back to it again. this is valid till NC is closed.

I had this problem with my old notebook (and reported about it).
I saw a giant potential in your program and so I bought a new notebook solely for NC, because I constantly add new definitions, change and experiment with old definition.
But I have same problem with my new Core i7, 8GB, SSD hard notebook.
That problem usually occurs after a intensive work with note definitions ( never immediately). Therefore, there are so few complains. Few people constantly works with definitions.
Important notice: If this problem occurs, then it can't get rid by restarting HEM. Only by restarting Windows.
This problem is so annoying that I prefer make batch changes of definitions in XML editor.
Some new versions of NC reduced frequency of this problem, but it still exist. :(

ASUS N73SV-V1G-TZ543X 17,3"/i7-2630QM/2x4GB/2x750GB 7,2/GT540M/USB3.0/W7P64 was about $1160 in Czech Republic.
I bought separately HDD SSD Intel 320 Series, 2,5", SATA II, MLC - 120GB, OEM for about $250.
I changes one of ASUS disk on this SSD.
