Problem with postgresql when starting hem

hi canot open hem because when im trying to i got an error from postgresql canot connect.Help me please

This is usually a firewall or windows update issue.

First try to reboot.

If no help, try this:

Start > Programs > PostgreSQL > 8.x > Stop Service

Start > Programs > PostgreSQL > 8.x > Start Service

If that doesnt help delete the \postgresql\8.x\data\postmaster.pid file, if you see it. And reboot.


If that doesn't help you will have to reinstall PostgreSQL completely

I have install unistall maybe 10 times just tonight. Dont have any firewall or antivirus.Im running win 7 ultimate 64 bits and computer is really good Quad core etc..less than 4 month old.I will try you sugest but have try many thing probably need teamviewer support right now.,

Run a manual Windows Update and install all updates, including all .net framework updates.

Then install SQL 8.2: http://ftp.postgresql.org/pub/binary/v8.2.22/win32/postgresql-8.2.22-1.zip

Installation of Postgresql is correct i have the newest version 9.1.The problem its when i try to run Holdem Manager postgres cannot connect.

Check to which port you installed 9.1.
Can you connect to it in pgadminIII?


Try installing SQL 8.2 to a different port (for example 5434).

Then try installing 8.2 again
