Hello.

I have some problem with my Holdem Manager.

I was using it a few month without any problems, but yesterday when I was trying to open "cash games" bookmark or any other, Holdem crashed and did not respond.

I uninstalled HEM and postgreSQL 8.3. I deleted HEM folder with the all config files and hands. I installed the newest Holdem version 1.09 beta 26 and PostgreSQL 8.4 to a new location on my disc drive. At the moment, HEM does not open at all. It seems that it tries to connect to the HEM server, but nothing happens. This is not a connection problem I think. I have very good 6Mbit connection.

I use Windows XP SP3. Everything works fine on my computer except for HEM.

The situation seems hopeless.

What should I do? I am waiting for help.

Can you start dbcontrolpanel.exe manually and connect to the database? http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=132

Do you have Microsoft .net 3.5 service pack 1 installed.

Did you start the fresh installation with full version 1.08.04 before the beta? If not you need to reinstall it.

Is your Postgresql service running?
Can you connect to the database server via pgadmin?

I reinstalled Windows XP and the problem disappear, but when I installed Windows XP updates, the Holdem Manager did not work again!!! It opens, but it did not respond when I try to open any bookmark (ex. "cash games"). What is wrong with it?!

Must be something with your computer system. Is it very old/slow? Which updates/service packs did you install?
