At the 'Initialize Database Cluster' stage of the postgresql installation, having enetered the information the HEM installation guide tells me to, when i click the next button i get the message:

"The specified data directory is not empty. If you have an existing database with the same major version number, you do not need to initialize a database cluster. If you have an existing database with a different major version you need to backup your old database and create a new one.'

What do I hav to do to solve this error and continue with the postresql installation?

You need to do what it tells you.

You already have or have had PostgreSQL installed. When/if you uninstalled it, it does not automatically delete the \data folder, which contains your DB.

If you don't need the data, simply delete the folder and install SQL clean.

If it is a HM DB, and you want to try and reinstall PostgreSQL to use that old DB, this would be how:

How do I re-install PostgreSQL and use a previous database? (http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=177)

Hi, I cant run Holdem Manager
I have the next errors, ill atach screens to:

The following error ocurred when trying to open the database. Failed to establish a connection to 127.0.0.1
A connection to PostgreSQL could not be made. Would you like to have Holdem Manager attemp start the service?
Sorry Holdem Manager was unable to start the service
Holdem Manager has started the service. Please try again

I hav the same problem. I have rebooted, ensured the postgresql service is running, restarted it and it still shows the same error messages as shown in the original post.

Any help much appreciated. Thanks
