Which Operating System, Firewall, and Anti-Virus are you using?

Please update to the latest beta - http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloads/HmUpdate.exe

For W7 and Vista you must set \holdem manager\dbcontrolpanel.exe, holdemmanager.exe and hmhud.exe are started as administrator. Run the windows explorer and navigate to your Holdemmanager installation directory. Right click the executables and select properties... then select "Run as admin" from the compatibility tab.

Add exceptions to the windows firewall for holdemmanager.exe and hmhud.exe, even if the firewall is turned off. If you have a 3rd party firewall, do the equivalent or uninstall it temporarily.

Make sure your video card drivers and windows auto updates are fully updated. Run a manual Windows Update and install all updates, including all .net framework updates.

Delete the file Program Files/RVG Software/HoldemManager/Config/exenames.txt
Then try the TableFinder again: http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/60/ConfiguringTableFinderToShowHUD

same problem here...no hud. i was using 1.12.07 and though i got no HUD, i had that window that shows the last 3 hands and table VPiP/PFR avg, but again no HUD. i update o 1.12.08 and now dont even get that.

i have windows vista, windows firewall and AVG Free edition antivirus 2012.

i ran those 3 .exe files as admin, but im not sure if they will always start as admin. i made exceptions in windows firewall and installed all necessary windows updates. then i deleted that txt file. im shutting down my computer now but will try again in the morning as its very late for me right now

Did you use the TableFinder: http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/60/ConfiguringTableFinderToShowHUD ?

Are you playing cashgames, or STT/MTTs? Please schedule a remote support session with our support. Email support@holdemmanager.net, with a link to this thread and your forum name, so we can setup a Teamviewer (http://www.holdemmanager.net/teamviewer) session.

Two issues remain with Cake HUD:

1) No preferred seat option with HEM
2) HUD doesn't appear immediately unless you resize tables.

Preferred seating will be added in a later update.
For now, set preferred seating to "-", and stay seated in whatever seat Cake seats you.

I tried all of that and the HUD still isn't displaying. Otherwise the hands are importing properly and I can review them in HEM (the HUD is displaying in the replayer!).

What can I do so that the HUD starts displaying while I'm playing?

What type of games are you playing?

HM1: Cake currently only works with cashgames.
We're still working on a fix for tournies.

I am playing cash. Actually, after trying everything, it turned out that I just needed to restart my computer and now it's all good :)

what about removed session only stat restriction like pt?

Patvs

They only allow session stats according to their rules & regulations.

Thanks. I've forwarded this to the developer, to also drop the session-stat only restriction.

Patvs

HM2 Build 5986 has the Cake session-only stat restriction lifted.
(so it will be available in the next public build, or bookmark the http://forums.holdemmanager.com/hm2-releases/ if a beta release is released before that)

And they're working on the fix for HM1 now. (so it should also be added in the next HM1 update)

Any chance of support for preferred seating on Cake?

Patvs

A ticket to add preferred seating for Cake is also on the to-do list, but I can't guarantee that already will be included in the next update.

..
2) HUD doesn't appear immediately unless you resize tables.

I have noticed this in the past but assumed it had been documented. What I did was simply select the table name in the Table Manager window and the HUD would appear.

I will forward this to our bugs department for testing so we can get it wrote up and resolved.

hey fozzy, from our earlier teamviewer session, im left with two "desktop.ini" files and an "archive.7z" file on my desktop...can i get rid of them? also can i uninstall HM1 or does HM2 run off it?

Patvs
12-27-2011, 06:14 PM
You can delete the archive.7z file (or move it to a different location)

You shouldn't delete the desktop.ini file. To make that file disappear:
How to see hidden files in Windows (http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial62.html)
http://rvgsoftware.fileburst.com/images/hidden.jpg

Turn on: hide system files again.

If you're now using HM2, you can uninstall HM1. Both programs run completely separately.
Though you may still need HM1 (to export your HUD, notes, handhistories, edited tourney results, etc.) so there's no reason to uninstall it immediately.

Set the lobby language in English.
What type of tables are you playing?

Is HoldemManager importing the hands?
