When you install 8.2 it only asks you one question about encoding.
On 8.3 it asks for Client encoding and Server encoding. I selected SQL_ASCII for both. Is this correct?

Please use WIN1252 (assuming your are running it on a windows system)

So SQL_ASCII for server and WIN1252 for client?

A dedicated server? Just use WIN1252 for both

Given that I've already installed PostgreSQL with PL_SQL/WIN1252 server/client, respectively - should I uninstall and redo it? Or will it be just fine the way it is?
I have 2 installations of HEM on 2 laptops and I'm using an external HD for my DATA directory. My only problem is I cannot vacuum analyze anymore, but that can be addressed in the thread I made.
