I have recently purchased Holdem Manager and I just can not get it working properly. Bearing in mind I am not very technical I am starting to lose my head with it.

I have a brand new Vista PC and I play on Betfred (ipoker)

I constantly get the following messages#

Error 1 "The following error ocurred when trying to open the database: Unable to read data from the transport connection: An exisitng connection was forcibly closed by the remote host"

I have spen hours on this now and am getting really frustrated. Last night it worked for a whil I imported my hand history nd no this.

Obvously is is user error and something I have done during set up but whaty?


Then even more frustrating I have to register for some forums and there is not an individual I can speak to to guide me through this. I'll end up getting a load of confusing technical instructions and Ill give up - money wasted.

You have obviously not spent any time on these forums yet, so it is not wise to make assumptions about our customer support process.

That error is caused by Firewall problems 90% of the time.

Please try following all of these FAQs, step by step:

Please update to the latest beta - http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/HmBetaUpdate.exe.

Thank you for your response. However,when I invest in a piece of software and there is a technical issue I like a number to call so I can speak to a human and get it fixed immediately. Not a forum where I have to wai for a response then go off and fix it myself with little knowledge.

I will try thiose things out but given me a list of things to dohas just proved my assumption correct. Maybe this is best sttled if I just have a refund nd go back to poker tracker?

Do yu know what.

The UAC is diabled. I can t find a .exe extension to save my life as in that folder they are all .dll

I'm off to play golf and have a good old moan.

Were do I write to get my money back? I havent got time to be my own tech support, I just want to play poker.
