View Full Version : Uninstall and Reinstall HM1
Hi!
I´ve got some problems in my pc, so i need to reset it. Could you explain me the way to uninstall HM1 (but saving all the info: configs, players, stats, HUDs, etc)?
I´ve installed in my pc Hm1 and Hm2, I bought both licenses this year 2011. Should I make this same question for Hm2 at the Hm2 Forum? Thanks!
Please, I need a step-by-step guide for uninstall and reinstall, cause my informatic knowledeges are very short!
PD: forgot to say my OS is Win7 Home Premium SP1 original.

Hi,
For HM1
If you’re doing a clean reinstall or moving HM to a new computer you should consider the following.
We have a backup and restore feature within Holdem Manager that makes it easy for you to backup all your settings, hand histories and files.
http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/418/Backup+%26+Restore
This is a new feature and there are some compatibility issues with it so if you have any problems you can do this manually by following the instructions below:
Export and Import your Hand Histories and/or backup and restore your database
http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/98/How+to+Import+%26+Export+Hands
http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/72/Backup+%26+Restore+Database
Export Your Notes

Export Your Bonuses and Rakeback – Options > Rakeback & Bonuses http://faq.holdemmanager.com/images/rakeback-bonuses-01.jpg
Export any tourney summaries by selecting all your tournaments in the Data View Sub-Tab of the Tourney > Results Menu and choose Export Tourney Results and summaries

See this FAQ http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/26/Registration+Benefits on how to reset your code
And finally
http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/99/Reinstalling+HEM+without+Losing+Preferences+
For HM2
To reinstall Holdem Manager 2 without losing your settings follow this FAQ:
http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/931/Reinstalling+on+a+new+PC+-+Backup+Tips
So backup the database and config files by following that FAQ and restore it on your new PC
Thanks
Thanks a lot!
Just one more question: Doesn´t matter wether I want uninstall/reinstall in the same pc (after I reset it) or if I want uninstall and reinstall in a different one? Does anything change in the 2nd case?

It's the same for a new/different PC.
Reinstall HoldemManager.
Then import your old settings.
