View Full Version : Memory Leak in HMImport.exe

I am currently using HEM 1.09 beta 23a, and at least the release notes for beta 24 don't indicate that this problem has been fixed.

When I start the importing process, the memory consumption is about 50 MB. I had an earlier import process running for several days, and HMImport.exe took 450 MB of memory. So, there are definitely memory leaks in the code, some allocated memory is never released back to use.

This isn't too big an issue with today's computers, but still I think it should be fixed.

Please post it in the Beta thread where the developers will notice it: http://www.holdemmanager.net/forum/showthread.php?t=11641

Have the same trouble on 1.11.03
Removing ativirus/firewall not help. Afer of 20 hours of auto-importing memory usage for HMImport.exe increase from 60mb to 500mb, cpu usage have peaks to 50% on 2core cpu notebook. The system becomes very slow after several hours of importing. HM runnig as admin on Vista sp2 x86.
Any recommendations?

How much RAM do you have?
If 2+ GB--> using 500 MB seems normal for hmimport.exe

Just don't let it import extremely large batches of handhistory files.
