View Full Version : DBControlPanel has stopped working

when i open HEM i get the message "DBControlPanel has stopped working. Windows is checking for a solution to the problem."

prior to this, HEM would not connect to postgre and i re-installed postgre and HEM a few times following the instructions on the site.

help please.

Under Vista make sure UAC is disabled http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=73
and/or holdemmanager.exe and hmhud.exe are started as administrator. Run the windows explorer and navigate to your Holdemmanager installation directory.
Right click the holdemmanager.exe and the hmhud.exe executable and select "Run as admin" from the popup menu.

i tried all of the steps above and the following message still appears: "DBControlPanel has stopped working. Windows is checking for a solution to the problem."

the "DBControlPanel has stopped working. Windows is checking for a solution to the problem" message now does not appear but when i try to connect to postgres it says that a connection to postgresql could not be made. i have disabled UAC and restarted my computer.

i've got HEM open! you were really helpful netsrak and was really quick in replying to give advice. tyvm.
