i have got a new solid state drive and have reinstall win7 and everything on, although i still have my old drive plugged in so i can copy old program files across to the new install.

ive reinstalled HEM1 and i dont want to lose the thousands of HH that i had before, i tried moving over the folder named "HMArchive" but that didnt seem to work, the new install of HEM1 is just blank and shows none of my hands or graph etc.

What should i be looking for to copy across?

thanks

Hi,

If you open your C:\hmarchive are your HH written there? If not, you may have not selected "auto archive" when you were setting up your import folders. If you still have your old HD you may be able to go straight to

options > database management > connect > databases.

If that works, open your old database:

Export your Hand Histories

Export Your Notes

Export Your Bonuses and Rakeback Options > Rakeback & Bonuses http://faq.holdemmanager.com/images/rakeback-bonuses-01.jpg

Export any tourney summaries by selecting all your tournaments in the Data View Sub-Tab of the Tourney > Results Menu and choose Export Tourney Results and summaries

Then can you create a new database http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/75/Create+%7B47%7D+Delete+Database

Finally reimport all your hands/notes/summaries into the new database.

If the database does not appear in the database control panel menu, you may have to backup and restore your DB manually via postgresql.

an hour ago i just went to manual import in the new installation of HEM and i selected the HMArchive found on my old disk with the old install, it seemed to import them successfully, however i cant find a new folder on my new win7 installtion called "HMArchive" and im worried thats its simply rewritten the database back on to the old drive.

Is there some way I can find out where the database it is connected to is located?

thanks

Read: http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/368/MoveDatabaseToAnotherHardDriveOrPartition
and check the system's registry which location it's using for the database
