I can't seem to install postgres properly.

Following the step by step guide i get to step 7.

when i click next it says something like the username is not valid so i change it to holdemmanager like it says.

then i get to step 10 and it takes a while to install but towards the end these messages come up:

'Failed to connect to database. procedural languages files are installed, but not activated in any databases.'

'could not connect to sever: Connection refused (0x00000274d/10061).
Is the server running on host "127.0.0.1" and accepting TCP/IP connections on port 5432'

Then when i start holdemmanager and try to connect to database it says

' A connection to PostgreSQL could not be made. Would you like to have Holdem Manager attempt to start the service?' I click yes.

'Sorry, Holdem Manager was unable to start the service.'

Then it it says ' Holdem Manager has started the service. Please try again.'

So doesvthis means Postgres was not installed properly, can someone please help me out.

Ps i'm on Vista and i have disabled UAC like it says.
