Hi,

I would like to purge all my observed HHs that are older than 3 months.

I've found the "purge observed hand histories" option but I'm unsure about the date ranges option.

By selecting January 01,2000 to 14 mai,2009. Will it delete the hands that were observed during this period or save them and download the others ?

(This is certainly a really stupid question but I'm not an English native speaker and don't want to take any risk)

Thanks in advance.

That filter is for selecting the date range of the hands that you will delete. Some of the filters are for excluding things, such as your player name, but those should be clearly described as such.

I purged the hands, then used the vacuum thing with pgadmin. Nevertheless that didn't saved any space at all.

I have 29 713 733 hands on 119 230 players (only 100k played hands) and my PostgreSQL is still 23,6 GB whereas I purged every single observed hands.

Any help please ? :)

23 GB isn't that much for a database.
You can try to delete all files in the pg_log directory to save some space.
You should also do a reindex via pgadmin maintenance and you should defragment your harddisk (but please stop the postgresql service before starting the defrag).

I know that 23go isn't that much for a database but I find it weird that mine is the exact same weight before and after the purge/vacuum.

I'll try to delete pg_log directory and see what it does.

Thanks.
