Hi,

I finally purchased HEM yesterday so I could play with a HUD. However, after installing PostGreSQL and HEM, and following the Quick Start Users Guide (http://www.holdemmanager.net/setup/QuickStartGuide.html), a HUD does not appear after step 15 in this guide.

Notes:
- I'm running Vista, UAC is turned off
- I first performed all these installations with HEM version 1.08.04 (downloaded off the site). After browsing the forum, I also tried with the latest beta release located at http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/HmBetaUpdate.exe. I installed this file right after (re-)installing HEM (so, I did not open HEM first). However, the problem remains
- At step 2 where you click Start auto-imports: my folder is already filled with 1000s of HH's, but I assume it does not need to be empty.
- edited in: when installing PostGreSQL (8.3, by the way), I have to name the account "postgresuser". postgres doesn't work.

To answer the questions on "FAQ ID # 174 - My HUD doesn't work, what should I do?":

1) What version of Holdem Manager are you using eg 1.06.04 Beta 12?
the latest one from the link above (1.09.somethingright)

2) What Poker Site are you playing on and does the problem occur on more than 1 site?
On Pokerstars. I have not checked on another site, though I do have a Full Tilt account. But I thought I would keep it simple for now...

2a) Have you clicked the Start Auto Import Button?
Yes

3) Have you the settings exactly as per the FAQ for your site?
Yes

4) Can you see the Hand History files showing up in the correct Folder on your PC, this folder should be indentical to the path location you set in Options > Configure Auto Import Folder in HM? If so please copy and paste the location as shown in the FAQ?

note: the AppData folder used to be hidden, but I changed that as suggested on the Pokerstars HUD FAQ

5) Are the hands being imported into Holdem Manager?

Yes, I do not see a problem there.
Edit: loading all my HH's is still going and will take a total of about 1 hour and 20 minutes. I assume this loading does not need to be completed before a HUD can appear...

5a) Do they import if you create a new database?

N/A

6) Have You Tried the Table Finder and did it work?

If this is meant to be the "Table Scanner" tab next to the "Players" tab in HEM, then yes, I just tried it, and yes, it has loaded a bunch of tables on Pokerstars when I selected Pokerstars, 6max and 0.25/0.50 (just as a tryout)

edit: maybe interesting also: when I play the cash game (as requested in the Quick setup), the name of the table does show up in the Table Manager browser.

7) If you open the HH are they written in English?

Yes

8) If your using Vista have you UAC disabled?

Yes

9) Have you attached the holdemmanager.config file?

Yup

Thanks in advance for any help. I really hope it's fixable, because I can't wait to play with all those cool stats! Please ask for any further info if needed to help specify the problem.

What is the popopop folder doing in your stars HH folder?

Please cut any hand history files, and paste them to a new folder on your desktop, or into your \HMArchive.

I would also suggest relocating that popopop folder elsewhere.

Reproduce the problem while playing, and take new screen shots of:

1. The table manager
2. The tables (including one with no stats).
3. The "importing\hud data" folder
4. The ...handhistory\screenname folder.

Please make 3 and 4 the detailed view with the dates and file sizes etc.
