Reported this problem with UB earlier with 1.09b13.

-Pop-ups don't work (mouse over)
-HUD disappears a few seconds into a hand only return at the start of the next hand.

Just installed 1.09b23a (same problem) only to have to return to 1.08

Gotta give up support the 7-2

I'll forward it to Fabio.

Do you use a datamining tool while playing?

Yes I do.

When I exit my handgrabber, the issue goes away. Any idea what might have changed in Holdem Manager AFTER 1.08 that might facilitate this problem?

Thx, rwp

I too have experienced these problems with 1.09. So I'm curious as to why you would ask this question. Are you thinking of a possible resource confiict? Could you please expand on what specifically you think the problem might be.

To be fair to our support staff, we are now 7 posts into this thread and nobody has mentioned a specific program they have a problem with. In any case, we can't make it our responsibility to support all the add-ons out there. I mean if a site changes something, then obviously we must respond - but a mining program? ...Have you asked the developers why their program messes up HEM?

I don't expect you to troubleshoot 3rd party programs. If we are having problems with programs that you have no connection to or knowledge of, that's clearly our job. That's why I'm asking why support would ask "Do you use a datamining tool while playing?". The answer to that question may or may not be useful to help trace the conflict (if there is one) between HEM and the miner, but a response of any kind would be appreciated.

FYI: The miner is called CereusMiner and the developer cannot think of any reason why upgrading to HEM 1.09 should be a problem.

I'm having the same issue w/ my HUD with 1.09 beta 24 on AP, and I also use CereusMiner. I don't know which program broke the other, but the end result is that my HUD doesn't work (mouseover doesn't work, HUD randomly disappears), so I hope you guys can work together to fix whatever's causing it.

It happens on both of my computers (XP laptop, Vista desktop).

So I guess I'm having this prob too. Haven't played in a few weeks, hopped on today and no HUD (using beta 23a). Unlike others, tho, my Table Manager doesn't even show any tables.

I tried the table finder and noticed that 2 instances of each table were being displayed (one w/ a #, one w/o) and remembered hearing sth about the mining script and the way HM detects tables, so I shut the script down, but still no good. No HUD, no tables listed in TM.

I then updated to the latest beta but still no good. ?

I was using Neko's script posted in the 2p2 software forum. Anyway, the prob is that these tools don't write the table # to the HH, and HM needs that # to identify tables now (because of the duplicate table names).

I tried again today w/o the mining script going, still no good. I can use the table finder, but then for w/e reason the stats are displayed in the wrong seats. Ugh.

I've reverted back to 1.08 and everything seems to be back to normal.

I'm not sure my prob is even the same as everyone else- I wasn't even seeing tables listed in TM.

I disagree with your first point. The fact that the table number (in table window title) doesn't appear in the hand history written by these programs is irrelevant. And it doesn't need to be; the HUD can and does figure out which tables to overlay the stats on through the existing hand history. FYI: the casino software doesn't include that information in either of the files that it writes in the hand history folder or the replayer folder. Also, duplicate table names have existed for a very long time and HEM has always been able to cope.

I totally agree with your second point. The miners don't even have to be running; the HUD will still be messed up.

I've also seen the no tables listed in HUD problem.

Here's a complete list of the symptoms that I've seen.

Hud stats overlayed on tables disappear and reappear sporadically.
Pop-ups don't pop up.
Notes don't appear.
Notes are not editable.
HUD is generally not responsive.
HUD crashes after a while.
No tables listed in HUD
Lobby listed in HUD as though it were a table (attention Mike chops).

I downloaded the trial version and wrote to the developer to ask if he had any idea what the problem was.

I have been having this issue as well & use the CereusMiner program. Here is what I have done to resolve the issue when playing:

- I have to disable Live Tracking for UB.
- When I am playing I have to stop the CereusMiner program otherwise stats start to dissapear sporaticly. I have a feeling it is because HM is reading the HH for each hand twice, once from the normal HH folder and again from the Miners folder, because each hand shows up twice in the display for last 3 pots won.

This also happens when I use another python script from the 2p2 forums to mine hands from UB and I am playing, which suggest that it is not any one particular mining program, but rather a problem when HM reads two separate HH for the same hand.

Just my two cents!

Where can I find a description of what Live Tracking is and what it does?

Turning off Live Tracking didn't work for me, it was already off.
Beta 29 brings no joy.
Anybody using PT3?

Beta 29 hasn't fixed it for me either.

To be more specific, I'm still experiencing the same symptoms - popup stats don't work. I can make them work if I click and drag a table to a new location, and when the stats snap back into place it seems to "reset" them, but if I access the popup stats afterwards, they'll work for maybe 30 seconds and then the HUD will crash (HEM and the miner program will be fine).

Sorry. The problems seem to be because the mining software didn't get the right case for the table names. This causes the HUD to think it is getting stats for a new table each time. I made a fix and it should have gone out on Friday. We were waiting on fixes for a couple of other things before the next release. It should be later tonight.
