Hi,

I tried to install Postgresql on my new computer but while installing it gives the error: there is no disk in the drive, please insert a disk into drive. Maybe it is because my harddisk is named H instead of C. I can click on continue a few times and then it installs but the same error comes while i am using HM.

What am I doing wrong? (I use Windows XP)

Hi,

while installing, edit the path where you want to install it from c to h

Thank you for your answer.
Where can I do that?
The location for the installation is H:\ but what do you mean with 'path' exactly?

PostgreSQL for example will install by default to C:/Program Files/PostgreSQL, but in your case you have to change it to H:/Program Files/PostgreSQL

actually it is installed on H:\. It is installed, it works too, but I get this error every time I start HM or want to do something with a database. Surprisingly enough HM seems to work just fine besides the errors

Install PostgeSQL 8.4.x manually with the installer from postgresql.org.
