HEM performance has been excellent until about 3 weeks ago.

I play on stars 20-25 tabling sngs stacked.

Tried to increase HEM-performance with almost all 10 steps on the list recommended in other thread, and have always tried the latest versions of HEM.

Use TableNinja, but lag occurs with TN off as well.

A few of the things on the "increase HEM performance list" was a bit over my head, so not sure if done properly.

Have a new desktop wtih decent specs:

Dell studio 540

• Typ - Intel Core 2 Quad
• Nummer - Q8200
• Hastighet (GHz) - 2,33
• CPU Cache - 4 Mb

• RAM Max. uppgradering (MB) - 8 192

• Antal hårddiskar - 1,00
• Kapacitet (GB) - 1 000
• Hårddiskhastighet (RPM) - 7 200

• Grafikkort typ - nVidia GeForce 9800 GT
• Fristående grafikkort

-------

Lag is most of the times 3-5 sec before stats to appear for active table.

Any idea how to solve this??

Which parts were over your head? Is there anything I can try and help explain?

Were you able to do the SQL Tuning? - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmmain.aspx?faqid=172

Were you able to turn off logging and delete the logs before doing the vacuum, reindex, defrag?

To turn off logging, follow these instructions. This is the first thing I do anytime I install SQL for someone.

- Start > My Computer > Tools > Folder Options > View > UnCheck 'Hide Extensions for known file types' > OK

- C:\Program Files\PostgreSQL\data\postgresql.conf > Right-Click > Open With.. > NotePad > Check 'Always use this program'

- Scroll about half way down to ~Lines 245 - 260:

- The last line of this block of code, for the 'logging_collector', must be changed from On to Off.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
# ERROR REPORTING AND LOGGING
#------------------------------------------------------------------------------

# - Where to Log -

log_destination = 'stderr' # Valid values are combinations of
# stderr, csvlog, syslog and eventlog,
# depending on platform. csvlog
# requires logging_collector to be on.

# This is used when logging to stderr:
logging_collector = off # Enable capturing of stderr and csvlog

File > Save; File > Close

Start > Programs > PostgreSQL 8.3 > Reload Configuration.

- Start > My Computer > C:\Program Files\PostgreSQL\data\pg_log, or C:\Program Files (x86)\PostgreSQL\data\pg_log, if you have 64 bit Vista. Delete all files in that folder. And it might be a good idea to empty your recycle bin at that point, or use a 3rd party utility like CCleaner to clean up all your junk/temporary files. You want to do this before you get to the vacuum and defrag process.

i'm not that experienced but i managed to do or already have done the other things you suggested.

now stuck on reinstalling and getting tuning wizard working,

from step 11 i dont get same replies or options as shown in thread.

Hem not working at all now. getting db connection error and a huge error popup.

What is the error message?

Yes, you could.

If you want to go that route, i will post the instructions. If you would rather have some assistance from our support manager first, before trying that process, please email fabio@holdemmanager.net, with a link to this thread, and your forum name, so you can schedule a Teamviewer session. Download and install the Teamviewer software using all the default settings.

If you want to reinstall HM and SQL:

forwarding error message, this one is prob from when I reverted to 1.08.04,
as I found a post where this solved the lagissue.

A Teamviewer session to solve this would be great. Already have the software.

Thanx for all help,

Peter
