I have the IP address, the username, password and everything needed for the PostgreSQL...can I recover it if all the HHs and everything else is gone on my old computer?

Also, if not, what's the point of even having PostgreSQL?

First and foremost, there is no substitute for keeping backup copies of all your original/processed hand history files. I keep daily synchronized copies of my HM folder and postgresql folder on an external drive. I also recommend you export your entire DB to text files occasionally.

If you still have the \data folder from the postgresql installation, you may be able to reinstall and use the old data folder.

You may be able to request your lifetime hand histories, depending on the site you play at. If you dont have the \data folder, a .backup from PGAdmin, or a copy of the original TXT files, you are out of luck.
