Import not working on PokerStars (latest version of HEM)

Hi,

None of my hands from today are importing. I tried auto import, manual import from file, and manual import from folder.

I am running the latest version of PokerStars and HEM 1.08.04.

I tried rebooting my computer & closing and re-opening HEM.


UAC is off. I tried Beta 23.

The HUD works when I play a Heads Up Sit'N'Go, but not when I play a Heads Up cash game.

I had no issues testing on micro stakes cash just moments ago.

the same happened to me.
yesterday it was everything ok but today every hand HEM imports comes with an import error.

i have reinstalled the version 1.08.04 and also tried the 1.07 and the beta version and no hand comes without the "import error".

note: i play nl50 (on pstars)

Fozzy - rvg is already answering Q's about this very issue in the beta thread. I can't figure out which update I'm supposed to get though. It's not very clear.

Here's the thread where rvg posted betas 23 and 23a on what is around the 2nd to last page. You have to look for it. I did the update and the Stars hands seem to be importing okay but I haven't been on it for very long and I guess others are reporting they are getting errors on some hands.

Oh. so I can just download the update on the first post of that thread then? I thought I had to find the post for Beta 23 or Beta 23a and make sure I downloaded that one?

Anyway, I think there are people that don't know to look in the beta thread when a Stars update makes their HUD stop working which is why you get new threads like this.

It works for m now. Downoade the wrong update at first. Above where it says notices u give a link to an older version which tricked me. Sorry about that. With 1.09beta23 it works for me.

You can copy them to a new folder on your desktop, so you dont have to import your entire archive.

Reboot, and update HM first thing. Make sure that UAC is off, and all firewalls are disabled or uninstalled. If you still can't get it to launch, make a new thread so we can help you properly.

Pokerstars updated their HHs and summaries, so 1.08.04 won't work anymore. You must update to 1.09 beta 23a until 1.09 is released properly.

This doesn't sound very logical, fuzzy, an update must be provided for the production version even more than for the beta version.
That's why we have 1.08.04 now, and not 1.08.00

1.08.04 has been updated (many, many times) all the way to 1.09 Beta 23a. They aren't 2 separate versions/applications. They are an old version and a new version. Once it is stable, it will be released as 1.09. If that needs updating later, it would be 1.09.01, etc. Then he will begin work on the 1.10 Beta versions.

I do not need to check this with Roy. I know what I am talking about.

The current 'stable release' just means that it is the latest version he packed into a full installer. that is 1.08.04 and has been available for a few months.

There have been A LOT of updates since 1.08.04. Everytime FTP or Stars updates and breaks something, Roy writes another beta update to cure it.

1.08.04 has not been functional for FTP since July 8th when they released their new client (approximately 1.09 Beta 14a). Sometime between now and then there have been a couple of Pokerstars updates also, which make 1.08.04 unusable for Pokerstars. Roy will not be releasing a patch for 1.08.04, because that is technically what 1.09 Beta 23a is.
