I was looking at a hand and noticed a bug with the EV$ Diff calculation...

There were 3 players, me with a stack of 33.70, villain1 with a stack of 0.20 and villain2 with a stack of 16.54...

I raised preflop with KhKd to 1 dollar and both villains called, putting villain1 all-in.

Flop: 6c4cKc

Villain2 bet about the pot, I put him all-in and he called. (villain1 was already allin preflop)

Turn 2h, River 5s.

Villain1 (0,20 stack) had 3c3d and villain2 (16 stack) had KsQd so although I was 50/50 with villain1 there was no way of me losing a lot since he had just 0,20. Nevertheless my EV diff was -8.35 dollars (since I was 50/50 with him I guess, my profit that hand was 14.52 dollar). But the money went in against villain2, who I had crushed (96% favourite on the flop when the money went in).

Is this a known thing? Doesn't this make the all-in EV diff a bit unreliable?

Thanks its a known bug where multiway all in pots are calculated incorrectly but we hope to have it fixed soon

The Bug exists also for HU pots. I put in 15.8$ with 36% Equity on the Turn with the pot already being >10$ (i had put in all the money before with 80% Equity on the early streets) and it says -23.39 in EV$Difference which is very wrong. With the deadmoney in the pot, it was even +EV to put in that money on the turn.
I hope this bug will be fixed soon, since it also skews the Allin.EV graph i guess.

Yeah, I don't really know what to think of that EV anyway.

In a session yesterday I got almost all of the money in being a 90% favourite on the flop. Villain hits his miracle card on the turn making him a 97% favourite there and the remaining $3 goes in there (total pot size was about $25).

So getting in $19 as a 90% favourite and the remaining $6 as a 97% dog the EV was based on the remaining $6 coz that's where he was all-in. Just doesn't feel right. (Ofcourse I should've put him all-in on the flop but that's an entirely different thing ;) )

Rough Calc

Effective stacks $19

36 times out of 100 you win $19 = +$684
54 times out of 100 you lose $19 = $1,026

Overall loss = $342 so over 100 hands that averages a loss of -$3.42 as your EV

Since you won $19 instead of losing -$3.42 then the EV difference is 19+3.42=$22.42 so its pretty close and these were rough calculations so obviously not going to be exact but enough to show it is correct

I didn't estimate the difference correctly, my fault. The EV difference regarding solely the Turn is -21$.
Is there a formula HM is using to calculate the EV difference? Does it regard only the all-in Situations or does it calculate the Hand EV as a whole? EV=PreflopEV+FlopEV+TurnEV+/-RiverEV for example?

Just the all in situations, previous action dosent effect it
