Since forever the HM1 hud will stop updating and I have to relaunch the hud or restart the program. This happens on both my computers. This is while playing on PS but it may not be limited to that site. I'm running the latest patch but this happens on all patches.

I can't explain how much this tilts me. This is supposed to be a professional product and I'm supposed to pay to upgrade this?

Thats not a usual behaviour so i guess there is something wrong with your configuration.
please attach your holdemmanager.config file from c:\program files(x86)\rvg software\holdem manager\config folder (or something similar depending on your installation). it may be just called holdemmanager if you've extensions turned off.

Ok. so I've attached my config file.

Just to let you know, I enabled UAC so that I could try running your program as admin but that did not resolve the problem so I've disabled it again.

Could it be a problem related to my PSQL?

I've had your program for a long time so my core files may be old, should I reinstall from scratch?

Since the issue affects two computers running different OSes (XP and Vista) I figured it was a problem with your program. Please assist me soon as I've been suffering with this problem for so long and am incredibly frustrated.

Your issues could have two causes:
-1 go to your auto import folder settings, and make sure you're only using 1 archive folder.
Or reinstall HoldemManager (not PostgreSQL) with the full installer @ http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloads/Holdem_Manager_Setup.exe
(also download and reinstall PokerStars)

-2 Since you have a very old database. (where PostgreSQL was originally installed by the PokerTracker installer) install a new version of PostgreSQL to a different port. For example 9.1 to port 5433 with the installer from PostgreSQL: The world's most advanced open source database (http://www.postgresql.org) (password during installation is "dbpass"). Read: http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/70/ReinstallPostgreSQL
Then reimport your hands into the new database.

Also Which Firewall, and Anti-Virus are you using?

Please update to the latest beta - http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloads/HmUpdate.exe

For W7 and Vista you must set \holdem manager\dbcontrolpanel.exe, holdemmanager.exe and hmhud.exe are started as administrator. Run the windows explorer and navigate to your Holdemmanager installation directory. Right click the executables and select properties... then select "Run as admin" from the compatibility tab.

Add exceptions to the windows firewall for holdemmanager.exe and hmhud.exe, even if the firewall is turned off. If you have a 3rd party firewall, do the equivalent or uninstall it temporarily.

Make sure your video card drivers and windows auto updates are fully updated. Make sure you have Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 (or later for w7) installed. Run a manual Windows Update install ALL updates. Including .net framework updates.

Ty, I will try these things. As for your question I am using the free Panda Cloud AV on both PCs.

Same problem here. Never had this problem before. Definitely is distracting (and tilting) during play on PS.

*Happens sporadically. no pattern seen.
*HUD misses some pots (even though they are in the reports)
*table manager does not update winnings/losses during session (when HUD starts messing up)
*sometimes it stops updating HUD and then starts again
!!!! and this one is weird. my opponents stats will change -- like it does not account for all hands. Then it remembers.

1. this started happening after I updated to newest version 1.12.05
2. rebuilt database according to other instructions.

EDIT: updating to beta. already checked permissions

The hud appears to be working better now after having reinstalled HM. However, HM keeps confusing the hand replayer window on Stars with the playing windows which causes the hud stats to get muddled up or not appear at all where they are supposed to.

I'm so fed up with this mess of a hud on an otherwise solid program. It's been an utter nightmare to use.

Check your seating preferences: http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/34/PreferredSeating
Go to the hud options--> player preferences--> use for tab and make sure there are no overlapping/conflicting settings between the HUD configurations.
