HM wont start

nothing happpens if i try to open HM through the desktop shortcut.

if i go to start - all programs - rvg software isnt there. so i went to my computer - program files - rvg software - selected HM and nothing happens.

i recently installed new antivirus/antispyware/fire wall software. could they be blocking somehow?

Yes they can. Make sure you have configured execptions for postgres and holdemmanager.

Under Vista make sure UAC is disabled http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=73
and/or holdemmanager.exe and hmhud.exe are started as administrator. Run the windows explorer and navigate to your Holdemmanager installation directory.
Right click the holdemmanager.exe and the hmhud.exe executable and select "Run as admin" from the popup menu.
