Please update to the latest beta from the link in my signature.

If you have Vista, please verify that UAC is still off. (http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmmain.aspx?faqid=73) If it is on, please turn it off and reboot.

If that doesn't help, please answer these questions. (http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=174)

Your database is corrupt.

You can try a reindex of the index mentioned above in the database management
and if that doesn't help you should create a new database: http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=146

anyway i can save the hands and move them across?

You should have all the original hands in your C:\HMArchive folder, or wherever you established your archive. If you can still connect to the DB Control Panel, you can try to export your DB to text files as an extra layer of HH archive redundancy.

Autoimport is missing a few of my tables again. This is the third time this has happened at FTP. I assume its related to another FTP update?

Any word on this yet?

Beta 21 works fine at FTP after the updates today, afaik.

so auto import still doesn't work with the new database. table manager sees the tables but just shows them as having 0/6 players when really they are full. really need to get this fixed

I am assuming at this point that UAC is off and you are using 1.09 Beta 21.

It sounds like there is a problem with your installation of postgresql if the new DB isn't working either.

Vista: Turn off UAC - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=73

Turn off Windows Firewall and Windows Defender for installing HM and PostgreSQL. Once you get those installed you can add exceptions to the firewall. If you have a 3rd party firewall, uninstall it completely before installing HM/SQL - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=171

For uninstalling SQL please follow these steps:

-Download Revo Uninstaller and use it to uninstall PostgreSQL. After it uninstalls it will give you options to select and delete all the associated registry entries.
- manually delete the Program Files\Postgresql folders
- run the command - start > run > cmd >

net user postgres /delete

- reboot.
- install again, with your firewall uninstalled or turned off if windows firewall

Install SQL - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=176

Logging:

I would suggest you turn off logging on your new SQL installation as well as these other performance improvements - Top 10: HEM performance increase tips
(http://208.109.95.123/forum/showthread.php?p=62613&posted=1#post62613)

To turn off logging, follow these instructions. This is the first thing I do anytime I install SQL for someone.

- Start > My Computer > Tools > Folder Options > View > UnCheck 'Hide Extensions for known file types' > OK

- C:\Program Files\PostgreSQL\data\postgresql.conf > Right-Click > Open With.. > NotePad > Check 'Always use this program'

- Scroll about half way down to ~Lines 245 - 260:

- The last line of this block of code, for the 'logging_collector', must be changed from On to Off.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
# ERROR REPORTING AND LOGGING
#------------------------------------------------------------------------------

# - Where to Log -

log_destination = 'stderr' # Valid values are combinations of
# stderr, csvlog, syslog and eventlog,
# depending on platform. csvlog
# requires logging_collector to be on.

# This is used when logging to stderr:
logging_collector = off # Enable capturing of stderr and csvlog

File > Save; File > Close

Start > Programs > PostgreSQL 8.3 > Reload Configuration.

fozzy if you remember my other thread you told me to reinstall SQL to fix this problem. i did this and HEM still isn't picking up hands from Microgaming, specifically the Ladbrokes skin. neither auto import or manual import or the HUD is working.

help please, ty

Please try to manually remove (cut/paste) the gamehistory.dat file to your archives. If that doesn't cure it, I will probably have you setup a remote support session with our support manager. Email fabio@holdemmanager.net, with a link to this thread, and your forum name, so you can schedule a Teamviewer session. Download and install the Teamviewer software using all the default settings.
