When you get the first error there is no way for Holdemmanager to fix it. You can close Holdemmanager.

This problem is firewall related. See if this helps: http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=164

Disable your firewall or configure exceptions for postgresql and holdemmanager

i have the same FW ( Eset Security ) for a year, HEM also for a year, nothing changed in FW

just to check turned off all FW processes and still nothing

only thing that changed is that yesterday i visited my friend w/ my laptop and i was connected to his wireless internet ( also was playing poker there and HEM was working ), today i'm at my place and HEM doesnt work

Then your network configuration has changed and i'm pretty sure its something with your security software.
And also please check whether your Postgresql service is running.

Can you connect via pgadmin to the database server?

1. Go to Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services.

2. Scroll to PostgreSQL Database Server and make sure it’s started and if not, right click on PostgreSQL Database Server and choose start as seen below and try again.

tried this and it said: "the service started and then stopped"

I think it crashed because of your "network adventure" and this postmaster.pid file prevents it from restarting.
