HEM1; application failed to initialize (0xc0000135).

When i try to open HEM it says: "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135). Click on OK to terminate teh application"

Help please.

Running windows XP, AVG av 2011, recently run Beta of HEM2: would that cause conflict?

Been through Windows update, none outstanding??

Any thoughts?

Is XP updated to Service Pack 3?
Run another Windows Update and install all .net framework updates.

Try running dbcontrolpanel.exe and create a new database.

Thanks Patvs, it's an odd problem. XP is bang up to date, if I go into HEM & try to run DBcontrolpanel.exe I get the same "failed to initialize" errror as per complete program??

Try reinstalling .net manually.

please reinstall your Microsoft .NET Framework:

try to reinstall vc++:

Sorry to be such a pain Patvs, having a problem downloading the .Net framework manually, getting this error log:

There is something wrong with your windows installation. Install all windows service packs and security updates and try again.
