hello, since a while(i guess since the whole shitty updates from ftp)i cant import any hands anymore in HM, the folders are checked and right but the import progress doesnot get any green blocks. Table manager opened and i see the tables there but when i uncheck them and do "find tables"it says there arenot any unattached hands. Also it doesnot give any stats in the table manager view. What should i do?

im running XP and HM 1.09.19

We have no HM 1.09.19, are you sure you are using 1.09 Beta 18a?
Please check the handhistory settings of your ftp client and your auto-import configuration in HM. http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=142

hi yes sorry its 1.09.18a but table manager said 1.09.19 so i thought it was version .19 but ok. I did check those settings and they are correct.. (they worked before too,and nothing is changed)

Did you look into a handhistory file - are they looking ok for you?

Please post an example here.

I don't see OS mentioned, so if it's Vista, please turn off UAC and reboot. Otherwise, it sounds to me like your DB/SQL installation is corrupt somehow. I had a customer with a somewhat similar issue yesterday. If you want to zip and email some of the hand histories to me, I can try to import them to my DB.

I'm on vista, but UAC is off. Playing on Fulltlt.

I don't know if this makes a difference, but...I'm using the Postgres config from an old Holdem manager. When I installed the new manager I didn't do anything to postgres, but I did uninstall the the old hold em manager first. Could this be causing potential problems? Should I uninstill both postgres and manager and reinstall together from the start?

thanks

....

If the config folder was real old, it might, but that is a little unlikely. More likely is a possible corrupt DB or SQL installation. Could you zip and email me some of the original HH files that are giving you import errors, please. I will try to import them to my testing DB and see if I get any errors. Send em to fozzy@holdemmanager.net, with a link to this thread and your forum name.

Sent you a couple of hand histories via email. I'm seeing now that it did in fact import the files, but it appears that there's an odd, possibly incorrect file name that's being attached to the very beginning of the file. does this have something to do with it? or is that just the way the new Manager works?

I got no errors. I suggest you uninstall and reinstall PostgreSQL to a new version.

You may want to export your notes (http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=119) and export your DB to text files, (http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=173) before you do this, to make sure you don't lose anything.

For uninstalling SQL please follow these steps:

-Download Revo Uninstaller and use it to uninstall PostgreSQL. After it uninstalls it will give you options to select and delete all the associated registry entries.
- manually delete the Program Files\Postgresql folders
- run the command - start > run > cmd >

net user postgres /delete

- reboot.
- install again, with your firewall uninstalled or turned off if windows firewall

Download and install PostgreSQL using these instructions - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=176

thanks for the help fozzy, works great =)

I just imported and had no errors. If you haven't already, please try creating a new DB and importing there. If that doesn't work you are probably going to have to follow my instructions for reinstalling sql.

You reinstalled postgresql? The only other thing to try would be to reinstall HM, but it may be easier at this point to have you schedule a remote support session with our support manager. Please email fabio@holdemmanager.net, with a link to this thread, and your forum name, so you can schedule a www.Teamviewer.com session. Download and install the Teamviewer software using all the default settings.

I think the currency / date settings of your computer are not standard.
