Hello there,

since yesterday, when I click on the "this month" tab in HM i get this error:

I figured out, that my db is probably corrupt (through searching in this forum). "Exporting hands" through Database control panel doesnt work either:

I tried to create a new db and import all the hands from the archive. First, the speed of the import was 2-3 hands/sec. I stopped it (accidently put the laptop in the standby modus) and tried to import the hands only from this month. The speed was 0.2h/sec and I got a bunch of errors while importing hands (now HM shows me that i played only 300 hands this month, but there were ~20k hands).

Now, when I start HM with the new db, i still have this message:

any ideas?

Im using Vista Home Premium, HM 1.09 beta 13, Intel Core2Duo 2Ghz, 4 GB RAM, if that matters. Recently run this defragment tool, which didnt increase the import speed at all.

thx

I think your harddisk is scrapped, you could try a checkdisk (http://maximumpcguides.com/windows-vista/how-to-use-check-disk-in-windows-vista/) but i think its a hardware problem.

does this mean, i have no chance to get it running again without changing the harddrive?

It's hard to analyze it from the distance. You should try the checkdisk and then a reinstallation of postgresql might help you.

is there any possibility to say, how long the checkdisk will take (140 GB harddrive, almost full)? Cause i read, that you shouldnt stop it and/or use the computer while its running.. And what switch do i have to use, /f?

thx

Chkdsk usually needs a lot of time, how much depends on the problems it has to fix.

You should use the options /f /r
