The main issue is I was using an older version of HEM (whatever was current circa November 2008) and the HUD was working just fine. I decided to upgrade to the latest version of HEM (1.09 beta 18a) and the hands are still importing (see attached screenshot for proof) but the HUD is not displaying and the tables are not showing in Table Manager (see attached screenshot). I tried using table finder but that did not work either. Note: I only play cash games on bodog.

Here are my answers to the HUD FAQ:

1) What version of Holdem Manager are you using?
1.09 beta 18a

2) What Poker Site are you playing on and does the problem occur on more than 1 site?
Bodog. I currently only play on Bodog and only play cash games.

2a) Have you clicked the Start Auto Import Button?
Yes

3) Have you the settings exactly as per the FAQ for your site?
Yes

4) Can you see the Hand History files showing up in the correct Folder on your PC, this folder should be indentical to the path location you set in Options > Configure Auto Import Folder in HM? If so please copy and paste the location as shown in the FAQ?
Yes, C:\program files\Bodog Hand Grabber

5) Are the hands being imported into Holdem Manager?
Yes. I see my current session stats being updated in the Sessions tab under the Cash Game section.

5a) Do they import if you create a new database?
n/a

6) Have You Tried the Table Finder and did it work?
Yes I have tried it, and no it did not work.

7) If you open the HH are they written in English?
Yes

8) If your using Vista have you UAC disabled?
n/a (I am running XP)

9) Have you attached the holdemmanager.config file?
Yes

Okay, I finally was able to use Table Finder to get the HUD to display but now it locks up my workstation. When I launch Table Manager it automatically checks every application I have open. See screenshot. I try to uncheck everything except for the Bodog tables that I want to run HUD on, which I'm able to do. But my workstation still locks up to the point where i'm not able to do anything except End Task on Holdem Manager. I've never had any performance issues with HEM prior to installing this new beta 18a. I've also tried closing and relaunching HEM and the HUD automatically starts running but Table Manager still tries to run on all my non HEM related applications as well.

Any assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

One more thing. I tried installing beta 17 instead of 18a that i had installed previously after reading this thread http://www.holdemmanager.net/forum/showthread.php?t=13739 but that did not work. Same issue persists with Table Manager automatically checking the boxes on all non-HEM apps that I have open. Unchecking them does not resolve the issue. My workstation still locks up.

You should have a file exenames.txt in the config subdirectory of the holdemmanager installation.

Please check this file, it should look like this:

Here is what my exenames.txt file looks like. Keep in mind I have installed beta 17 based on the advice of the previously mentioned thread. Should I have beta 17 or 18a installed? I've attached the config file for the beta 17 installation since that is the version i have installed currently.

Normally we suggest to use the latest. But i don't think this will make a difference.

I'm wondering about the lonely 7 in the last line of your file.
Could you please try the following:
Close Holdemmanager
Open the file exenames.txt in an editor (notepad).
Delete the last line "7,"
Save the file (make sure it is saved as exenames.txt not as exenames.txt.txt).

Restart HM and test.

Thanks, deleting the lone "7" definitely stopped HUD from locking up my workstation. However, HUD is still not automatically launching when I open Bodog Tables (yes, i have the "Launch HUD with Auto Import" option selected and, yes, i have bodog hand grabber running and it shows it is collecting hands). I've tried the 'Relaunch HUD' option as well.

I then tried Table Finder again and I realized that Table Finder is not seeing an Owner for the Bodog Tables even after I highlight the table in the pop up, drag the red square over to the actual bodog table and click Okay. See the attached screenshot.

The "Moon Ballad" table in the screenshot has been added to Table Manager but the owner still shows as blank. I then get prompted with a pop up asking 'Do you want to add "" to the list for the Bodog tables?' The first time I answered "Yes" to that and that is what caused the lone "7" to be input into the exenames.txt file and caused my workstation to lock up.

This time I answered "no" which allows HUD to launch but as soon as I close Table Manager and try to relaunch the HUD, I have to manually find the tables again via Table Manager. I also tried closing out of HEM completely and relaunching, but HUD still did not auto launch.

So I guess what I need is to know how to get Table Finder to recognize that BPGame.exe is the Owner of the Bodog Tables. Thanks again for your continued support.

Your Tablemanager tells me that you are not using Beta 18a. Please update: http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/HmBetaUpdate.exe

Thanks for the response. If you refer back to the previous posts, you will see that I had Beta 18a to begin with and this same issue was occurring (HUD not auto launching). The initial config file that i posted was when i was running 18a. I thought you said you didn't think it would make a difference whether i was running 18a or 17. Nevertheless, I will reinstall beta 18a again and re-post the config file if you like.

Yes please try Beta 18a again before we escalate your problem to the next level.

The problem seems to be that the HUD can't find the name of the client program from the table window. I'm not sure why. It works here. Can you try reinstalling the Bodog client? If that doesnt work I'd try reinstalling HEM. Please let us know how you get on

Okay, I've reinstalled beta 18a. I've attached the new config file.

I already tried reinstalling HEM (even tried beta 17 at the advice of another post). Don't know how reinstalling bodog would help the issue but I reinstalled it anyways. This issue only started after I switched to beta 18a from a much earlier version that I had downloaded back in October 2008, which always ran fine. Only reason I downloaded the latest beta was just to see some of the latest features (i.e. table scanner, etc).

Any updates or any more suggestions? One of the reasons I switched from Poker Tracker to HEM was b/c HEM's HUD worked with Bodog whereas Poker Tracker 3 did not at the time. Not having the HUD auto launch is very frustrating to me as I am big on table selection and therefore switch tables quite a bit. Any more assistance you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Please schedule a remote support session with our support manager. Email fabio@holdemmanager.net, with a link to this thread and your forum name, so he can setup a Teamviewer session.

I went ahead and uninstalled HEM one more time and this time just reinstalled HEM without doing the new Beta Update and the HUD is automatically launching now so I'm just going to run with that.

Thanks.
