I've been updating to new releases for several months without a problem; I even updated to 1.09 beta 14a. However, I haven't been able to successfully install either of the subsequent betas. Each time I try to update I get the error message "the package was unable to replace the following file :C\program files(x86)\RVG software\holdem manager\holdemmanager.exe". So, I tried uninstalling HEM, and then I installed 1.08.04 and tried to update to beta 19 - didn't work. Help please

Oh btw, before I deleted HEM I could at least open the program; now I can't even do that. :/

The original error message just means that your holdemmanager or parts of it were running when you tried to install the update. A simple reboot would have solved this.

Please start with a fresh installation of 1.08.04: http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/holdemmanager.zip
and when this is completed successfully close the program and install the update http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/HmBetaUpdate.exe

For further help please come back with more detailled error descriptions.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it wasn't running but let's say you're right.

I installed 1.08.04 but now the problem is I can't connect to the DB. It won't accept the username and password. I'm 90% sure the info I've entered in is correct, but it won't take or let me change. SIGH
