How do I make sure my hands are in the HEM2 databse? What's the best way of going about this?

Also, is there a way of keeping the databse of only the last 250k hands or something of the sort? So anything past the before the last 250k hands would automatically disappear from the db...?

So I've read about the purging hands which is great and I've done it :)

Still want to know how I make sure the stats I have get passed on to HEM2... Help would be appreciated :)

In HM2, run a import from folder on your HM1's archive folder, default: C:/HMArchive

will that still keep all the stats from the players (including the hands deleted when I purged the hands)?

If anyone could tell me how to keep all the stats including the purged hands, it would be extremely helpful. Hopefully importing from the HMArchive would be enough, but it wouldn't make much sense since the purged hands aren't there anymore.

yes even if you purged hands from the database, the archive folder will still have ALL the original handhistories.

yeah what you said would happen, didn't happen. I was playing with regs and the hud was showing 100 hands?? Even without the purged hands it would be way over that, so not sure what is happening. Another case was a player showing 1.6K hands when I have wayyyy more on him. So for now I switched back to HEM1 until I know how to solve this...

Also in HEM1 i've been having big problems. In the middle of the session the HUD will stop, and when i open the HEM window, it's processing files, like it's not even fast enough to keep up with the hands I'm playing? This is happening EVERY day. Any idea why?

On which site are you playing?
Are you 16/24-tabling?

Check if any handhistory files are 'stuck' in your auto import folders, and manually move them to the archive folder.

If you play on Stars, email their support and request the handhistories for every hand you've ever played.
Just so you can be sure, ALL your hands are imported.

If the HUD will then STILL show HUD stats NOT based on all hands, check the HUD filters, #player filters, etc. so it will use all hands for the HUD stats.

basically at some point during the session, HEM starts importing hands at 0.2hands/s so I stop having updated stats.
This is SUUUUUPER annoying, and especially during a downswing! WTF DO I DO????

Which Operating System, Firewall, and Anti-Virus are you using?

The same I was using before this happened!! Windows 7, windows firewall and AVG. How would this make HEM import at such a small pace. It starts off well and then every time it gets slow. This sucks!

Try creating a NEW database, reimporting the hands.
Which SQL version are you using?
Also try installing a different version of SQL to a different port.

For example 9.1 to port 5433: http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/70/ReinstallPostgreSQL
