View Full Version : 5 minutes and stops working...

I run Holdem Manager for 5 minutes and it my hud shows 5-8 hands and then stops working and the 5-8 hands just sit there while it will not show me any more hands. It seems to be working properly but I can not get it to continue to show stats after the initial 5 minutes.

Any help would greatly be appreciated.

I'm having exactly the same problem. It's been working fine for 8 months but has just started doing this.

Please update to 1.09 beta 17 to alleviate the HUD freezing issue on FTP. it can be downloaded from the link in my signature. If that doesn't help you will need to be much more detailed so we can help you better. OK thats made it worse. Now HEM won't even open, I get a windows message saying 'Holdem Manager has stopped working'

Please reboot your computer and try installing the update again. Make sure you choose the right installation folder (the original holdemmanager path)

I've rebooted and tried to save it again but I have no idea where to save it to. I installed it 8 months ago so don't know which file I saved it to.

Then you should use your windows explorer to find it.
And you can check the properties of you holdemmanager icon.

I updated and it still does the same exact thing...5-10 hands and just stops working

It sounds like you may be suffering from this annoying bug, which should hopefully be resolved in Beta 18.



the problem is actually due to FTP not changing the modified date when they write to the hand. What is happening is FTP are updating this hand history which started a day earlier and HM thinks that the file is old due to the last modified date and so does not treat it like a live hands creating the necessary files for the hud. In the next beta we are going to tweak things a bit to better deal with this.

Temporary fix: Close HM+FTP, then move the HH files from the FullTilt HH folder to a different one and then start HM+FTP again.

I'm sorry but this support isn't very good. I'm no idiot and I've no idea what you are talking about.
Also, no coincidence that I can't even open FT since you've told me to click the link. Please help in normal terms. ASAP

Download this file to your PC - http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/HmBetaUpdate.exe

Make sure HM is closed.

Double-Click the file and follow the prompts to update. It should install to the default location. If you installed it elsewhere, right click on your holdemmanger shortcut and check the installation path in the target window, and redirect the installer to that location.

Open HM.

If you are still having problems, please email fabio@holdemmanager.net, with a link to this thread, and your forum name, so you can schedule a Teamviewer (http://www.teamviewer.com) session. Download and install the Teamviewer software using all the default settings.

Closed HM, Clicked the link, it downloads to 'C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager' and says 'thankyou for chosing HM'

I try to open HM and I just get a pop up saying HM is not working.

Now thats English.

(sorry for the sarcasm but I've had enough. Great product when it's working.....)

I have downloaded the newest updates and now my Holdem manager is doing things I never even seen it do before and is completely not working at all

So do u have to download that patch? I am still using the "holdemmanager 1.09 beta 14a. And I think it is still running the way it should, but maybe I am missing something. can I still use this version or should I download the beta 18 version? Thx for helping us out.

If Beta 14 is fine for you you can use it. Beta 18a is necessary for playing on FTP

Thats the thing I do play on FTP and I think HEM is working properly with the beta 14. Is that possible? What did the beta 18 fix? Thank you.

I don't remember exactly what Beta 14 was for, we had so many updates the last days. For normal cash game you should use Beta 18a otherwise your HUD will not work or freeze. Maybe Beta 14 is still ok for SnGs or MTTs?
