Please update to the latest version - http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloads/HmUpdate.exe

Run a manual Windows Update and install all updates, especially all .net framework updates.

Or manually
please reinstall your Microsoft .NET Framework:

1) Run http://rvgsoftware.fileburst.com/dotnetfx_cleanup_tool.zip
2) Install this one: http://download.microsoft.com/download/2/0/e/20e90413-712f-438c-988e-fdaa79a8ac3d/dotnetfx35.exe

Which Operating System, Firewall, and Anti-Virus are you using?

Many of those free Norton, Mcaffee, Comodo, Zonealarm, etc, 'internet security' bundles will not work well with holdem manager.

Please do the following steps, so we can get your computer to a state that we know will work with Holdem Manager:

1) Uninstall any 3rd party security software bundles.
2) Reboot your computer
3) Please install the latest version: http://rvgsoftware.fileburst.com/HmBetaUpdate.exe
4) Enable Windows Firewall's recommended settings through your Control Panel, turn off Windows Defender, and add firewall exceptions for HM and SQL - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/275/Windows+Firewall+{47}+Defender+Problems
5) Install Microsoft Security Essentials for antivirus/malware protection and update it - Virus, Spyware & Malware Protection | Microsoft Security Essentials (http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/)

Make sure windows is fully updated until 'No New Important Updates are Found' (this may require multiple restarts), including Internet Explorer (even if you use a different web browser) and change your Windows Control Panel > Regional Settings Format to English (USA).

Please give HoldemManager Administrator rights -

1) Go to C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager (Program Files (x86) if you have the 64bit version)
2) Right-click the HoldemManager.exe and choose "Properties".
3) Go to the Compatibility Tab and select "Run this program as an Administrator".
4) Do the same for HMImport.exe, HMHud.exe and DBControlPanel.exe

Please install the latest version: http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloads/HmUpdate.exe and go to Filter > Clear and then Filter > Use for all. Also try enabling the Options > Settings... > Miscellaneous > [x] Auto apply filter changes to all tabs

If none of that helps, I would suggest a clean reinstall:

http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/126/Using+Revo+Uninstaller+

http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/99/Reinstalling+HEM+without+Losing+Preferences+

1) Export any custom HUD configs individually, make a backup of your C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\Config folder, and any other important files. If you have custom filters/reports/stats, just copy the entire \holdem manager folder before uninstalling.
2) Uninstall HM with Revo Uninstaller Pro - Uninstall Software, Remove Programs easily (http://www.revouninstaller.com) using the Deep setting. You do not need to uninstall PostgreSQL.
3) If given the option, on the 2 following screens of Revo, remove any registry entries and leftover files.
4) Reboot your computer
5) Install the complete setup of HM: http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/Holdem_Manager_Setup.exe. You should un-check the PostgreSQL Option when running the combo installer.
6) Test if it for a while and see if it works

Hi, Im using Windows 7, Windows Firewall and Avast anti-virus.

Before I follow all those instructions can i just clarify that the problem only relates to when I follow the Tourney>Reports>Filter>Edit route. The problem lies specifically in this area.

For example I can filter my results, preflop cards and hands fine. Also I have used HEM for quite a while now without this issue or any other issues so its definatley got nothing to do with my OS, FW or AVS :)

Please let me know if the solution is still to follow above steps and Ill give it a go!

Thanks for your help

clear filters (even though it appears no filters are selected)

If that doesn't resolve it:
Please update to the latest version - http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloads/HmUpdate.exe
And try creating a new database, reimporting your handhistories into the empty database.
