I was multitabling with HEM earlier today when we had a power cut. Since we got our electricity back I've been struggling for a good 3 hours trying to get HEM to work. Whenever I try opening it, it freezes in the "Initializing database..." phase after clicking the HEM icon on my desktop.

I tried uninstalling and re-installing and with different beta versions up to no avail. After re-installing I did manage to configure my databases again. But when I try to open HEM, it freezes at the same "Initializing database..." point again. This time I'm also getting a popup which says about HEM finding some hand history folders on my computer and adding them to the auto import list. I can click ok on this popup, but after clicking the whole thing freezes. When I try clicking on the "Initializing database..." screen it goes all white.

I'm not very good at computers, so help pls?

First try disabling UAC and reboot http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=73

if that dosent solve it its likely the database was corrupt during the power outage and so youll need to export your hands from the old database http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=173 then create a new database http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=146 and reimport the hands into the new database
