Hi there,

First of all, let me apologise for my first post being a complaint as such, but I've looked through the FAQs and seached back 3 pages within this forum and I've seen no threads which have similar symptoms to mine. Many thanks in advance to anyone that can help.

Anyway,

As of today HEM has stopped importing into the database (manually or automatically). Last night I completed a healthy session with no issues importing on Pacific Poker (LuckyAcePoker.com skin). Today when starting my session no files will import. I've taken some screenshots to help show my point:

When I click on "Import File(s)" and find the Hand History:

I double click and get this image:

Almost immediately after this, the screen reverts back to normal, but the word "Importing..." remains. Also, the Hand History still hasn't been imported:

When I click on "Start Auto Import", I get this screen, but nothing happens and it freezes here:

Last night I was using 1.09 beta 12. Today once I realised the issue, I updated to the latest 1.09 beta 14a, and still the issue remains. I've not installed anything nor changed any settings.

I'm using XP SP3.
I have restarted my PC.
The issue is the same for Pacific and PokerStars.
I am using PRO version.

1) What version of Holdem Manager are you using eg 1.06.04 Beta 12?
1.09 beta 14a

2) What Poker Site are you playing on and does the problem occur on more than 1 site?
Pacific and PokerStars

2a) Have you clicked the Start Auto Import Button?
Yes

3) Have you the settings exactly as per the FAQ for your site?
Yes

4) Can you see the Hand History files showing up in the correct Folder on your PC, this folder should be indentical to the path location you set in Options > Configure Auto Import Folder in HM? If so please copy and paste the location as shown in the FAQ?
Yes

5) Are the hands being imported into Holdem Manager?
No

5a) Do they import if you create a new database?
No, when I click Options > Database Management, HEM closes!

6) Have You Tried the Table Finder and did it work?
No

7) If you open the HH are they written in English?
Yes

8) If your using Vista have you UAC disabled?
N/A

9) Have you attached the holdemmanager.config file?

I too am having a similar problem. Just bought a load of hands started importing fine then has pretty much stopped and made my computer unusable. Was working fine until the latest beta I think. The time remaining goes down way to slow says like 1 hour remaining then 4 hours later 55minutes remaining. Tried carrying out maintenace on my database no change

Reboot your computer, delete all files in the Holdemmanager subfolder importing\status and importing\workfolder.
Then start HM and try again.

It can also be a firewall issue. So make sure you have configured postgresql and holdemmanager.exe as exceptions. They need port 5432.
Or switch off your firewall for testing.

Done both options and no change at all.

I turned off the Firewall for testing and still no change.

The point is, last night I was playing poker and everything was working fine. Now, HEM isn't importing, and the only change between last night and today is ~14 hours.

Please email fabio@holdemmanager.net, with a link to this thread, and your forum name, so you can schedule a Teamviewer (http://www.teamviewer.com) session. Download and install the Teamviewer software using all the default settings.

I've 'solved' the problem.

Doing a System Restore to a scheduled restore point that was made yesterday seems to have sorted the issue, and now all the Hand Histories from the session I was playing when HEM wasn't working have now imported correctly.

Sorry I couldn't have helped solve the issue so you could fix a potential bug in the system. If the issue happens again, I'll post again in this thread and email to arrange a time for a Teamviewer session.

For what it's worth this is the 2nd time this issue has happened. Last time it happened about a month ago, and System Restore fixed the problem then.

The issue has returned, it seems to happen after i reboot the pc, and isn't resolved until i do another system restore. Very strange.

I've emailed you at fabio@holdemmanager.net to arrange a time for a TeamViewer session

I have the same problem with importing from pokerstars, using beta 14a.

If there's any info I can submit to help you guys, just let me now.

This just suddenly began happening? Cash or Tourney? The more details the better. Operating system? Firewall and antivirus? Microsoft .net framework version?

If you want to zip up some and email them to me, with a link to this thread, I will try importing them to my test db. I am playing a micro cash game at stars now, and having no issues.

I just played 120 hands at nl2 on ftp, using beta 14a, and had no issues of any kind. Also played 40 hands of stars cash games as well, and everything was fine. I didn't try testing any sng's yet, cuz LOL_Donkaments.

I then did a system restore, which restored HEM to beta 12. Everything was working fine. After the system restore, I updated to beta 14a. Still everything working ok.

Then, I reboot my PC, and the problem has now returned.

I'm using Windows Firewall, Avast anti-virus.
The problem affects all Hand Histories from all the sites I play on. The issue seems to resolve after a system restore, but then comes back when i reboot my PC.

I'm going to install the latest .net version 3.5 to see if that solves the problem.

Well my import is going in and out again today on tourneys (FTP). I downloaded 14.2 yesterday and it worked for a while, but today is acting up again. Will only import from table I'm actually sitting at now. Are there any new resolutions today?

1. Go to Control Panel -> Add/Remove Software and uninstall every Microsoft .NET Framework you can find in the list

FTP does not write observed Hhs, so you will not get a hud til u have played a hand. Beta 15 will have a pre-fetch option similar to the pokerstars option to get HUD stats from your db to show before you sit.

If the HUD isn't recognizing tables you are playing at, but the hands are being imported, please see if using the table finder will get the hud to start recognizing them again - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=54

I've used this long enough on FTP to know that it doesn't come on until after 1 hand. Do not understand your answer - I said that I am ONLY getting stats for table I AM SITTING AT. I will typically monitor up to 10 tables at a tournament-or at least I could until yesterday. Realize that problem likely initiated with FTP's latest software update, but am confused as to why your software works some times but now will only pick up stats at a table I'm playing on. Again I downloaded Beta 14.2 yesterday which seemed to work until today.

A bit of info :

My main OS is Linux, I have installed windows XP in a virtual machine so that I can play without having to reboot. Everything was fine until a couple of days ago, I was starting to run low on disk space in the VM, so I moved the pgsql database to the Linux OS and reconfigured HEM. Everything went fine, I could connect to the DB, I reimported all my hands (that I had previously exported from my old database), I could view all the reports and everything.

Sometimes later I get on stars and start a session, though the HUD only showed up for the first table I sat in. Tablemanager does recognize the other tables, though it states that no hands have been imported in those.

The importing tab in HEM says that only one hand has been imported. The HHs are present in the correct folder, and when I tried later on to auto import without any tables running, they were imported fine.

at this point I upgraded to beta 14a from 8.04, without any results. Though I sometimes get to play a session with the HUD working, so it's kind of an on/off bug.

I don't have any firewall or antivirus on the VM, but I noticed I have 3 different versions of the .net framework installed. I'll try uninstalling them and reinstalling the one linked to see if it helps.

I click on "Import File(s)", then right click the Hand History and click "Open" as shown, and nothing happens.
IIRC, this is meant to open up the Hand History in Notepad.

There's nothing wrong with the Hand History.

Gotcha-thanks. It does make your software much less useful though.

Beta 15(just released) adds Pre-Fetching of up to 5 observed hands. It must be turned on under HUD Options > Site Options. Link is in my sig.
