Hi,

I'm using HEM for about a year now, never had any problems. But since a half week or something my import doesn't work correctly. It isn't importing all of my hands, it is missing about a quarter of it. I haven't made any changes at the program or on my computer. Just happened all on itself. Also tried to create a new database and downloaded the latest upgrade of HEM. Please help!

Hands played on which site?
Cashgame hands?

Which SQL version are you using?

set the date formatting of your computer to M/d/yyyy (and not to European default d/M/yyyy) with regional settings English (United States)

Which Operating System, Firewall, and Anti-Virus are you using?

Please update to the latest beta - http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloads/HmUpdate.exe

For W7 and Vista you must set \holdem manager\dbcontrolpanel.exe, holdemmanager.exe and hmhud.exe are started as administrator. Run the windows explorer and navigate to your Holdemmanager installation directory. Right click the executables and select properties... then select "Run as admin" from the compatibility tab.

Add exceptions to the windows firewall for holdemmanager.exe and hmhud.exe, even if the firewall is turned off. If you have a 3rd party firewall, do the equivalent or uninstall it temporarily.

Make sure your video card drivers and windows auto updates are fully updated. Make sure you have Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 (or later for w7) installed.

Cashgame hands played on Pokerstars.

SQL version 8.3.

Set m/d/yyyy.

Operating system; Windows 7. Using standard windows firewall. My dad updated my computer a few weeks ago and installed Avira anti-virus.

Have installed the latest update of HEM, see OP.

Everything is fully updated and running HEM as admin, it still doesn't work.

Install PostgreSQL 9.1 to port 5433
(if it won't install try 8.2 PostgreSQL: Choose a Mirror (http://wwwmaster.postgresql.org/download/mirrors-ftp/binary/v8.2.21/win32/postgresql-8.2.21-1.zip) )

Read: http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/70/ReinstallPostgreSQL

Create a new database, running the new SQL version, then try reimporting the hands again.

And make sure HoldemManager is updated to the latest update, which is 1.12.04

Can't get any installations of PostgreSQL working. Giving all errors or 'didn't find the page'.

Turn on the secondary Logon. The secondary logon service is a standard windows service which is available on every windows computer. In the latest versions it is not started automatically. You need to start it via control panel > administrative tools > services. Starting it once should insure it works in the future also.

SQL 8.2 should always run. PostgreSQL: Choose a Mirror (http://wwwmaster.postgresql.org/download/mirrors-ftp/binary/v8.2.21/win32/postgresql-8.2.21-1.zip)
Can you post a screenshot of the error you get during the installation?

Try deleting the postgres user first:
click on Start and go to Programs -> Accessories -> Command Prompt

* If you are on Vista, rightclick and choose "Run as Administrator".

A black box should appear. Type 'net user postgres /delete' (without the quotes) and press enter.

The user is now deleted and you can (re)install PostgreSQL.
