Hi, there may be some info on here but I can't find it. I'm having problems installing the postgre.

I get an error message:
Failed to connect to the database. Procedural languages files are installed. but are not activated in any databases.

and I get another error message:
Could not connect to server: Connection refused (0x0000274D/10061) Isthe server running on host "127.0.0.1" and accepting TCP/IP connections on port 5432?

I've disabled the firewall and the UAC, i'm running Vista.

Can anyone help?

Hi - Seen you're thread here for a day or two and thought I'd help.

Try the main Forum here. Fozzy and crew will be able to get you hooked up no problem. I have a feeling they haven't seen your thread yet, but post in the following forum and you'll get an answer very quick.

I've also made a free PostgreSQL problem solver video you can check out too.

Make sure you uninstall all Anti-Virus Software! Big commercial packages seem to cause most of the problems. Either way, uninstall the AV stuff too.
