It this doesn't help we need some details about your system: operating system, HM Version, Postgresql version...

PostgreSQL service starts and stops now without problems but HEM don't work
OS Windows Vista
HM version 1.08.04
Postgresql version 8.3.7-1

Please use the latest beta:
http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/HmBetaUpdate.exe
Switch off UAC http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=73
and make sure holdemmanager.exe and hmhud.exe are started as administrator
and check your firewall / virus scanner / antispyware settings: http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=164. Postgresql and Holdemmanager must communicate via Port 5432
