When i try to open HM i get the following message

"an error occured while reading the config/holdemmanager.config file: Root element is missing.
Holdem manager will now backup the old config file and create a new one for you."

then when i click ok i get "unhandled exception has occurred in your application etc

how do i fix this?

Delete this file and restart HM - it will create new one.
But you have to adjust some settings again.

Open your workplace or windows explorer and navigate to the folder c:\program files\rvg software\holdemmanager\config (or something similar depending on your windows installation).
In this folder delete the file "holdemmanager.config". It may be just called
holdemmanager...... config file
if you've extensions turned off.
