View Full Version : HM stop working after Windiows installation

Hi,

I've install Windows and HM, than I've played for two days and everything was fine. Suddenly after I've try to begin another session and to start HM a message appears: " A valid license could not be obtained for HM. Please contact HM for assistance."

I've tried to re-install the application and to reset license key from my account, but it does not work.
Please help!

please send your updated Reg.log file from the C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\Logs folder. If your Windows is hiding known file extensions the file will simply be called 'reg'.

Run a Windows Update and install ALL updates (especially .net framework updates)
Make sure Windows is updated to the latest service pack.

Reboot. Then run ANOTHER Windows Update to install new .net framework updates.
(repeat this process until they're ALL installed)

If that doesn't resolve it:

please manually reinstall your Microsoft .NET Framework:

1) Run http://rvgsoftware.fileburst.com/dotnetfx_cleanup_tool.zip
2) Install this one: http://download.microsoft.com/download/2/0/e/20e90413-712f-438c-988e-fdaa79a8ac3d/dotnetfx35.exe
3) Try to register HM again

The problem appears again after I've install those updates:

Installing Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 and .NET Framewor2.0 SP2 Update for Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP x86 (KB982524) (update 5 of 9)... failed!

I know it's recommended to install the updates, but it's really important to use HM too :)
I'm not installing the updates until I found some long term resolution to the problem.
If you have one it'll be great.

Reboot your computer.
Then run ANOTHER Windows Update to install new .net framework updates.

If your issue comes back:
TURN OFF INSTALLING UPDATES AUTOMATICALLY

please reinstall your Microsoft .NET Framework:
1) Run http://rvgsoftware.fileburst.com/dotnetfx_cleanup_tool.zip
2) Install this one: http://download.microsoft.com/download/2/0/e/20e90413-712f-438c-988e-fdaa79a8ac3d/dotnetfx35.exe
3) Try to register HM again
