I was playing earlier and my PC had a blue screen error and I had to shut down. Upon rebooting I received a notification that there was a corrupt file in the SQL folder and that I should run check disk utility to repair the file.

Well I did that not realizing that this can be a very long process for a SQL database that I have over 4 million hands in.

Can I safely end the check disk by restarting my PC? The corrupt file is on my external hard drive.

It is 20% complete after running for 7 hours, so I really dont wanna wait 25 more hours for this to finish.

Thanks

Unfortunately I am not sure. I can't remember when the last time was that I actually ran check disk.

I will forward this thread to the other support guys and try to get you an answer.

Sounds like you are probably going to have a corrupt DB, unfortunately.

When checkdisk runs after a bluescreen and PostgreSQL was involved you can say that his DB is in 99% busto, because scandisk deletes/cuts/moves files which cause to malfunction within postgres
