View Full Version : hm cant obtain valid license

Hello,

I have sent a letter to the support, but since I got no answer I write here.

More than a year ago I obtained Holdem Manager via the 'Get it Free' promotion. I have not played poker for more than a year, and I would like to use the software again, but when I try to activate online it says, that a valid license could not be obtained for Holdem Manager. I have only used it on one computer but I reinstalled windows so my Holdem Manager had been automatically uninstalled.

I downloaded the trial from the site and after I installed, I was asked about my name and the serial what I entered. I am not sure I entered these datas correctly, but I got a "success", than I got a "valid license could not be obtained for Holdem Manager" message. I reinstalled hm and postgreSQL twice, but I can't enter my name and serial again since right after I enter the program I get the "success", and the "valid license.." then it simply quits. So I got stucked here :(
How can I activate my Holdem Manager now?

Email us your Reg.log file from the C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\Logs folder. If your Windows is hiding known file extensions the file will simply be called 'reg'.

I sent the reg file along with the details when I get the error.

OK, managed to fix it. Somehow now it is working with the licencedebug trick you usually suggest for this problem. However neither yesterday nor before that ever worked so I do not know why it is good now.

I don't know if iti is a bug, but I cannot import sng hand history. I import it, shows me that it duplicated, but at the hands or graphs, my results do not appear, only the half of them. This hands were played today and yesteday.

Why? Bug?

set time filter to All hands,
set game filter to All games
and manually CLEAR your FILTER (even though it may seem no filter is selected)
then press Refresh

Nothing happens. Even if I set something in the filters, "no filter" appears next to the filter button...

And I cant change the players of the sngs, I would like to filter by 45 man sng with players between 40 and 50 but only 3 tournament appers. between 30-50, 6, between 20-50 more and more... Why??

On which site were these SNGs played?

If PokerStars: Read the tournament summary section @ http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/6/PokerStarsSetup

If another site, check in tourney--> results--> dataview
if the "size" info is correct for all your SNGs.

One year ago and before that, this problem didnt even exist. Now, it gives me absolutely incorrect results... There are two "not finished" tournaments, this is when I exit before it would give my tournament result, but I always wait that pop-up "... XX place", so this is very weird...

One year ago Stars wrote summaries in the same folder as HHs.
Now - in different (by default).
You can use client menu Request - tournament history and import it when reseived and saved as text.

Please update to the latest version - http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloads/HmUpdate.exe

Make sure windows is fully updated until 'No New Important Updates are Found' (this may require multiple restarts), including Internet Explorer (even if you use a different web browser) and change your Windows Control Panel > Regional Settings Format to English (USA).


*Try creating a new UTF DB - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/75/Create+{47}+Delete+Database
*Now import a small portion of your \HMArchive so you can see if the problem exists in the new DB - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/98/How+to+Import+%26+Export+Hands
*If the new DB seems to work properly, you will want to import the rest of your archives to the new DB, export/import the hands from the old DB to the new DB, and export/import any player notes and tourney summaries - and then delete the old DB.
*Make sure you export/backup everything before deleting the old DB - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/372/Reinstalling+on+a+new+PC+-+Backup+Tips


If you continue to have problems with the new database, we will need the original hands so we can test/duplicate the problem.
