So I'm getting a new computer with two hard drives. One of them will be a SSD.

What's the best configuration for this? HEM, Postresql and the OS on the SSD?

I'm a little wary of the OS being on the SSD, so is that really necessary for best performance?

I plan on doing the same thing this fall, after W7 releases. Actually I want 3 drives. The 3rd will be a 1TB for backing up my other 2 drives and for holding my video and music collection. :D

My understanding is you want the SSD for the OS, to make everything on your machine run as fast as possible. Then you want the SQL DB on the 2nd drive. That way the OS and the SQL DB aren't competing with each other for Read/Write cycles.
